Fieldstone Golf Club of Auburn Hills is a beautiful Arthur Hills design set just across Interstate 75 from The Palace of Auburn Hills, home of the Detroit Pistons. The course has been the site of Buick Open prequalifying and Monday qualifying for several years now, and is the site of both qualifiers again in 2008.

Since the date of this event is the Monday prior to the Buick Open prequalifier, players can use this event as a tuneup for the prequalifier, or if they are exempt, for the Monday qualifier the following week.

Although not overly long at 7002 yards, the course has several holes which will require length off the tee, as well as several holes requiring pin point accuracy both in driving and approach shots. The greens are quite undulating, and can be lightning fast under tournament conditions.

For an excellent review of the course (including pictures), check out the Two Guys Who Golf web site.

The final event of the 2007 Michigan Player's Tour will be held on perhaps the most difficult test of golf in Michigan available for public play, Eagle Eye Golf Club. Designed by Chris Lutzke in collaboration with Pete Dye, Eagle Eye has several holes reminiscent of the TPC at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra, Florida, home of the Player's Championship on the PGA Tour. In particular, the 17th at Eagle Eye is an exact replica of the island green 17th at TPC Sawgrass. One of the characteristics of Eagle Eye is a number of approaches to greens set near water hazards, creating extremely challenging approaches.

For an excellent review of the course (including pictures), check out the Two Guys Who Golf web site.
