The Michigan Player's Tour has selected The First Tee of Michigan as its principal charity. The Tour will donate a percentage of its profits from each event to the organization.

"Since the primary goal of the Tour is to help the game grow, it's only natural we should support an organization dedicated to the same goal," said Tour Director Ken Carter. "The First Tee not only introduces youngsters to the game, it helps in their development as responsible citizens."

The First Tee program was created in 1997 and includes founding partners The PGA of America, The PGA Tour, The LPGA Tour, The United States Golf Association, and Augusta National Golf Club.
