Amateur Tour Schedule Being Developed

Tour will commence in May 2012

The Michigan Players Tour is developing a schedule of 12 amateur events for 2012. This schedule will be called the Michigan Players Amateur Golf Tour (the MPAGT). The schedule is being developed by PGA Professional Jacob Leyrer of Portland C.C. in conjunction with the Michigan Players Tour.

The MPAGT will be conducted on many of Michigan's greatest public courses, providing players with perhaps the most challenging golf they will face on any amateur circuit in the country. Combined with the wonderful amenities and pleasant weather of Michigan in the summer, the MPAGT will be a top destination for players throughout the country to come and compete.

The MPAGT will feature six flights based on handicap. These flights are :

Sponsorship Opportunities

As an amateur golf tour showcasing some of the top up-and-coming talent in golf, the Michigan Players Amateur Golf Tour will be creating a number of excellent sponsorship opportunities for businesses and corporations seeking to associate itself with the sport. As of this writing, the Tour is seeking sponsorship at all levels, ranging from Tour Title Sponsor (i.e., an overall "umbrella" sponsor) to individual Event Sponsors and Associate Sponsors.
